Hello.  I am Gary Engler.  I’m currently the Senior AI Engineer for the Capco Digital Labs in NYC.  I have my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken NJ.  My primary focus is in Rapid Prototyping of AI / ML solutions geared towards determining the viability of the concept for production systems and have deployed AI / ML solutions into banks internal data centers.

At Capco I have built out prototypes and proof-of-concepts for:

  • Conversational AI
  • Email Classification
  • Form Extraction leveraging OCR solutions
  • Automated Test Creation for Bank Mainframe Systems

Prior to Capco I ran R&D at Elemental Path, a small conversational AI startup in NYC.  At EP I built an ASR system geared toward children’s voices as well as:

  • Speaker Recognition
  • Question Answering System (Cognitive Inference Engine)
  • “Pre” Responses for a more natural interaction.
  • Data Science Dashboard for Creative Team.
  • Multi-Language Support.

My primary programming languages are Python and C++, with experience in:

  • Javascript
  • CUDA C (Technically an API, but I’m including it here)
  • Rust ( Only certain examples geared primarily towards creating Python callable modules)
